The cubital fossa is an anatomical triangular depression located on the anterior aspect of the elbow.
Boundaries-
- Apex: it’s directed downward
- Base: Imaginary line connecting the medial and lateral epicondyles of the humerus and it’s directed upward.
- Medial border: Pronator teres muscle
- Lateral border: Brachioradialis muscle
- Floor: Formed by the brachialis and supinator muscles.
- Roof: Skin, superficial fascia, deep fascia, and bicipital aponeurosis.

Clinical significance-
- Venipuncture: The median cubital vein is commonly accessed in this region.
- Blood pressure measurement: The brachial artery is palpated in the cubital fossa for determining blood pressure.
