Eversion of foot

1. Turning of the sole inward,

towards the midline of the body.

1. Turning the sole outward,

away from the midline of the body.

2. Tibialis anterior &

posterior muscle 

2. Peroneus longus &

brevis muscle 


Peroneal retinaculum of foot- Content

1 Peroneus longus (PL)

2 Peroneus brevis (PB)


NOTE: Both muscles (PL, PB) are supplied by superficial peroneal nerve.

NOTE: Both muscles (PL, PB) mainly cause eversion of the foot.
