Straight sinus (dural venous sinus) is formed by the union of two veins - 

1. Great cerebral vein / Vein of galen 

2. Inferior sagittal sinus

 

Straight sinus drain into - 

1. Transverse sinus (~90% Left)

Galen's anastomosis: It refers to the communication between -
 

1. Recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) 

2. Internal laryngeal nerve (branch of the superior laryngeal nerve).
