🌴 MOA-
Block SGLU-2 in PCT → Decrease glucose reabsorption → more glucose excreted in urine, lowering blood sugar levels.
🟡 S/E-
SGLT2 inhibitors make glucose pass into urine → urine becomes sugar-rich → bacteria grow easily → ↑ risk of UTI (and fungal infections).
