Parkinson’s disease is a neuro degenerative disease (due to degenerative of dopaminergic neuron)
There is imbalance between acetylcholine level (Increase) and dopamine level (decrease due to loss of dopaminergic neuron) in parkinson’s disease.
So for the treatment of Parkinson disease, we need to increase the dopamine level and decrease the acetylcholine level.
1. Drugs that decrease acetyl choline secretion : Drugs act on cholinergic system
2 Drugs that increase dopamine secretion : Drugs act on dopaminergic drugs
